OK, my first response is "The middle of a field in freakin' Nebraska or Kansas or something."

My second is some sort of Native Americal Burial Mounds...

Salt flats?

Not in North America. Consider today's date.

I am shutting down as we have a major electrical storm going on. Sorry. :-(

Hmm...it's the summer solstice or midsummer...some place in the British Isles?

Stonehenge. This is Jessica's "DH" or whatever you call me. Nice one. Very appropriate for the date.

Oh right! It's also the first day of Cancer. Okay, so somewhere in Africa, India, or Southeast Asia is still quite a range, isn't it? :)

ETA: So that could be these possibilities: Tropic of Cancer runs through the following countries: Mexico, the Bahamas, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, India, and southern China. Mexico is in NA so that rules that out and I don't think it's the Bahamas. So that leaves Egypt, Saudi Arabia, India, and Southern China.

ETAA: British Isles or Africa?

ETAAA: Stonehenge? Ah! There's the circular part! I didn't realize Stonehenge was so brown. I just found a picture of it. Okay, then summer solstice it is. :)

I had wondered about Stonehenge, but since I've never been there, I figured it was a big enough attraction to have a big parking lot/gift shop/tourist junk aorund it. Which circle is it? I see several in a row there...

Thanks! He's pretty good at this kind of stuff.

It's the blob in the upper right corner. It's really in the middle of nowhere and there isn't much around it. It's really cool to go visit though.

Stonehenge! You guys are great! I wanted to highlight that there are other man made features in the area with this shot, which is why the henge is up at the top. The random brown dots are all barrows, there are quite a few in this area.

Here is a close-up of Stonehenge.

LOL - when we toured England and Wales, I was amazed at the "famous sites" we would go to and there would be a little muddy parking lot and no signs or anything. There was a distinct lack of guard rails too, especially in castles. :-) Very un-American.

Yeah, it was really nice. I went to England and Scotland with the concert band in college (we would go on tour every spring) and it was nice to see how un-commercialized everything was.

Oh, yes, it was nice - I was just a bit freaked out standing at the top of a castle with nothing more than a 6 inch rock between me and the edge. And we spent alot of time looking around going "Is this the famous rock/bridge/waterfall that was listed in the guidebook?" :-)
