My husband and I are going on vacation next month. At first, I was trying to find a child-friendly location, but now my parents have agreed to come stay with the kids (hooray!), so we can go wherever we want.
It's down to 2 choices: Cancun or Nassau, Bahamas. I would like to go to the Bahamas, but according to the tourist book I have, they get an average of 6.1" of rain in July. That's scaring my husband off, even though I pointed out that it was unlikely they would get those 6" in the short time we'd be there. I did some checking online, and found quite a few sites that said the rain, though heavy, is generally short-lived. This still isn't convincing my husband.
So, does anybody have first-hand experience with the weather in the Bahamas in July?
