Well, I held out a long time on going back to rescue, but this one was about to be gassed and I ended up taking her. She just arrived and she's had a long transport, so she's getting some Z's in the crate. She had a good long run in the yard, ate an insane amt of puppy food, did her business, posed for some pics. She's quiet as a mouse now. Lets hope she finds a wonderful home soon.

Aww, what a sweet thing! And cheers to you for taking her in!!

I would just LOVE to get a dog, but it's not the right time. My toddler would be okay, but with one on the way...Not a good idea to have two puppies in the house, one would get the shaft for sure!

Hey, I know where Lansdale is!

I happen to have not one, but TWO Foster dogs right now. Fortunately, one is leaving on Sunday to his (God willing) Forever Home.

Four dogs and two kids - it's a good thing I've got those Happy Cat pills!!

How long do you anticipate keeping her?

She is a cutie! She looks very friendly. :)

My mom and dad used to live in Columbiana, actually I did too until I was 10 months old. We haven't been out that way in a long time though.

I am bookmarking that site, in case I decide to let DH have a dog someday.

Thanks, someone e-mailed me and said she's a Belgian Malinois mix, so I changed her breed on the site. She's a cutie. Very people oriented.

She is such a sweetie. You are so good to take her in.

We rescued our dog when she was 10. I just couldn't stand the thought of her dying in a cage. So here we are almost 4 years later and very happy with our decision. I think that we will always rescue an older dog.

I would love to foster a dog, but am afraid that we would end up getting too attached.

Hope that Gabby finds her forever home very soon.

Gabby is adorable! It warms my heart when I hear people rescuing animals. Hoping Gabby finds her forever home soon, in the meantime I'm guessing she'll be very happy with her wonderful foster parents!

You are so wonderful to be a foster dog-mom! I have a rescue dog that I adore, so rescue dogs (and their foster parents or owners) have a very special place in my heart. Thanks for what you are doing.

Gabby settled right in. Today my mom came to see the baby and melted all over Gabby. So, Gabby went home with my mom today. After 70 foster dogs here... my mom falls for one of them. Who'd have ever thought? My mom has been mourning our Rocky for over a year now and saying that she doesn't want another dog. Here she tells me (after meeting Gabby) that Gosha (their schnauzer) is very lonely and needs a friend. Then, she told me that Gabby reminds her of Rocky.

Hooray for Gabby and your Mom. I love it when I hear that an animal has found someone to love it forever. They bring so much joy (and a fair amount of sadness) and really deserve love.

You and your family are so awesome to give Gabby a chance. Hope it continues to work out.
