I use Tide HE liquid and Vinegar (as my fabric softener). No Downy liquid, no dryer sheets. I still have greasy looking spots on clothing--mostly color knits. I'm puzzled as to what is causing this?

Thanks!

I've been having the same problem since buying my Maytag Neptune a month ago. They only seem to be on my color knits as well. I have tried other detergents but they don't seem to help.

OMG! I have the SAME problem! Here's the weird thing with mine: all the "spots" are located on or around the left breast area of my shirts (and one of my bras) I thought at first maybe it was a milk stain, but it's appearing on more and more of my shirts (BTW, all color knits). Totally weird. I thought I might try OxyClean.

Hmmmm....another one here. Same exact problem as everyone else. Can't wait to see if anyone has any idea what's going on.

Same problem here!! No idea what they come from, but I have had a lot of luck getting them out using Dawn liquid detergent on them before I throw them in the regular wash. I really rub it in and they have almost universally come out!

I was using Lasinoh cream when I first started nursing Liv, and I had these same stains. I was happy when I could stop using the cream!
Are any of you using that?

I get my spots out with bar soap, however, I have new spots each time I wash them, so it's a vicious cycle. I did a wash today, and the spots on two things were REALLY bad. The shorts and shirt looked better when I put them in, than when they were washed.

ok, me too! But it's on one particular dress. And I figured, the dress is old, I may have spilled something when eating (I am very clumsy, my 2 year old is neater)...I love this dress, and it's in great shape for being so old, but I really cannot wear it now :( :( I know it's not nursing as I could not wear it then...

I doubt the material would survive oxy-clean, too...

Add me to the list - I just noticed this on some of DD's new Hanna Ts. I have a front-loader and use Tide HE. I'll try scrubbing them with Fels Naptha and let you know if that does the trick.
