View Full Version : Was the China Gold Baby Gender Predicter correct for your child / children?

Just thought it would be fun to see how "accurate" these things are. This particular one is very accurate for the people that I work with, correct for almost everyone (like 9 out of 10!) ... it is based on lunar age, not actual age. It was right for my DS ... and if it is right again it says that I will be having a little girl in February!!!

Here is the link: http://www.chinagold.com/baby.htm

Just type in your birthday and your child's birthday or conception day.

Note: the other charts out there that are based on age (not LUNAR age) at the time of conception give different results, which in my case, was wrong!

Thanks for playing!

It was wrong for my DS. I put in both his birthday & the day when I think he was conceived.

Now on the other hand charts using just age (not lunar age) were right for DS. Personally I think you can find a chart going either way. For instance I've found one saying girl this time around & one saying boy won't know for another couple weeks ;)

Congratulations!!! I've been wondering how you're doing and I'm thrilled that we're sharing the pregnancy this time around as well! :) Griff was born about a week and a half before Kaya? Assuming all goes the way they should, I'll be due about a week and a half before you this time around. Okay, where's the happy dance smiley?

or maybe born right around the same time!!!

Griff was due 2/23 but came on 2/11. This baby is due 11/23 so maybe will come out to greet us 11/11??? will you find out boy or girl - or wait it out? ;)

I'm too impatient!

Wow, that would be cool if they both came on 11/11. That sounds like a good date. :) Well, in answer to your question and ciaobella's question, this particular calendar was correct both times. A girl last time and a girl this time. And DH and I could have gone either way, but after seeing the u/s we were pretty sure it was a girl and we were right (we saw something that looked like it might be the three lines and we didn't see anything that looked like boy parts), at least according to the radiologist. Interestingly, this time around, a woman at a yoga workshop checked the pulse on both of my wrists at the same time and predicted a girl. And Kaya, if you asked her, most of the time said it would be a girl. Let me know when you find out. I'm also too impatient. ;)

According to this predictor, I should have 3 boys. I have 2 girls and 1 boy!

It was right for all 3 of my kids and for all 5 of my friends and SIL's who are pregnant right now.

My OB and I were talking about the chinese calendar and she said she went to china while in medical school. They gave her a chinese calendar and she would compare when she did ultrasounds. She said it was accurate 85% of the time.

Not sure what it is but it seems to be pretty accurate for everyone we know.

Well, my two sons were supposed to be girls and I was supposed to be a boy... methinks we got it all wrong! Well at least DH is the boy he was meant to be!

It was right on for me both times! My friend on the other hand who was trying for a girl twice got boys twice!!!! It said girl both times for her! I told her she should hvae tried for a time that said boy and she might have gotten a girl! She also tried Shettles and ate the "girl" diet, had he husband change his type of underwear ... everything! I think you get what you get!!!!

It was wrong when I put in Conner's birthday, but right when I put the actual conception day in. With just his birthday, the date it gave for conception was over a week off the actual date. In fact, all the different chinese charts and old wives tales said I was having a girl, but nope, I had a boy!
