View Full Version : The things men do when left to run the house...

I have to say I am so proud of my DH for stepping up and taking care of things while I am on bedrest but it is amazing how a house can be totally turned upside down in a 1.5 weeks. :) The boys are fed and happy and Jaci is staying put so I guess that is all I can hope for.

Here are a few things that have happened since I was put on strict bedrest.

Jackson is currently wearing PINK Dora Easy Ups (Not the usual Bob the Builder). DH doesn't even like me to dress Jackson in Yellow because it is too girly but now Jackson has a pink pull up with a flower on his booty. Even funnier is that he likes it! :) Perhaps DH will take a closer look when shopping next time.

There are Spaghetti O's on my blinds in the kitchen...No clue what they were doing to make this happen. The highchair is also permanantly stained red and there is red on my wall. We were planning on repainting the first week in July so I guess DH thinks it doesn't matter.

We now have Whole CHOCOLATE milk in the refrigerator. That's right...no regular milk...just chocolate. This morning Tyler had a chocolate milk bottle and Jackson had cereal with chocolate milk. I did get on to DH about this. Just can't figure out how he would think this was OK. We will have regular milk at lunch.

My mom is on her way in today so hopefully she can get things under control. I am so proud of DH but what was he thinking! :)

Oh dear. But the Dora pullups and the chocolate milk are pretty funny. My DH does things like that too. I don't think I'll ever understand the male brain but I suppose they think the same thing about us. I'm so glad that Jaci has stayed put so far and will continue to pray that things go smoothly.

Oh yeah...It's amazing how it all falls apart when moms aren't in charge isn't it? I couldn't wait to get off of bedrest so I could reclaim my household!

BTDT! I don't think that DD ate a single vegetable while I was on bedrest with DS, unless you count McDonald's french fries. DH even tried to convince me that fruit-flavored Skittles had some sort of nutritional value. The worst part was that he really tried to do things like laundry and cooking, so I just had to lie there and thank him for shrinking my clothes and bringing me fish sticks.

Sending sticky vibes for Jaci!

Well, I have to admit that there are probably Spaghetti O's on my blinds in my kitchen too and I am the one in charge!! God help me if DH had to take over. Glad to hear that Jaci is staying put and the calvary is on its way to help!

Tara, I was giggling about the Dora pull-up, and then burst out with a big 'ole snort when I read about the chocolate milk bottle!

YIKES!

I hope your mom is helping to restore some order! Get some rest knowing that you're all in her hands!

LOL! It reminds me of that Bill Cosby sketch where he feeds his kids chocolate cake for breakfast.

Tara, how funny! Things certainly change when daddy is in charge. Well, the babies are safe.....take pictures of everything!
hope you are feeling better and Lil Jaci stays where she is!
