I know someone had posted about this book--Susan?

I thought it looked cute and we ordered it from the used book section of Amazon. The first seller ended up not having it, so I ordered again. The second one ended up coming from a subsidiary of Amazon (didn't realize that at the time) and came very quickly...good.

But there are duplicate pages! I can send it back to return it, but I'm pretty sure they won't refund my original shipping costs in which case the shipping pretty much cost more than the book.

So I'm wondering if I'm actually missing any pages, or I just have extras. This was a long way to ask that if anyone has a copy of the book, could they tell me if I'm missing any pages (if I just have extra pages, I won't worry about it). They're not numbered, but after the green page that ends "Go! Baby giggled with the frisky little goat." I have two pages that start "Did you hear what Mama told you?...with a reverse of "While Papa hauled the water..." Then two pages of "Baby danced the cha-cha...cow (with the reverse of "Go! Baby giggled with the chocolate-colored cow."

So the book goes from the chocolate-colored (I keep saying chocolate-covered! You know where my mind is!) cow to the shaggy little sheep. Was there an animal (or something else) in between? Including the copyright page and the end page, I have 32 pages.

Thanks for any help! Sorry for the strange question!

I checked out a copy from the library.

I don't think you're missing any pages.

Here are the animals in order:
polka-dotted pig
frisky little goat
chocolate-colored cow
shaggy little sheep

If the pages were numbered there would be 24, 4 animals, soory you got a bad book!

Hey, it's kind of cute having a defective copy. I have a defective copy of "Goodnight Moon" too, so maybe I can create a little collection. I'm in the book business myself, so it could be a good little hobby!

DH's family is Polish and they think a polka book is way cute...so do I. Now I have a good excuse to skip pages.
