Is his nose broke?

Today Tyler fell and planted his nose face first into the floor. I was upstairs in bed so I didn't see what happened and Jacob put him down for a nap as soon as he calmed down. When he woke up I noticed the tip of his nose was a purple/red color and had a red line running across the center of it. It also looks a little swelled up but not too bad. He screamed when I touched it but other than not wanting us to touch it he really doesn't seem bothered by it. DH says his eyes would be black if his nose is broken but it really looks bad. I'm so irritated he didn't tell me about this when it happened so I could have looked at it. I don't even know if they can do anything for a baby's broke nose if it is.

He is a tough little guy! Just wants to keep going. Surely he is fine...but should I get it checked?

It certainly sounds like it might be broken. I'd have him checked out.

Hugs, mama. I guess this is a "fall on your face" sort of day.

You can have a broken nose w/o a black eye. If he still won't let you touch it come morning, I would take him to be checked out.
I hope he feels better soon.

Ouch! I hope it heals correctly. If it does not it can cause breathing problems years later. Get it looked into. Better safe than sorry.

I would get it checked out just in case. If nothing else, you'll feel better once you know if it's broken or not. I'm sorry your little guy got hurt. ((hugs)) to both of you!
