Well, my immediate next door neighbors have started a big patio project with. you guessed it... the same company and crew that saw me bare naked and pregnant when they were working at my house. I go out into the yard to take the dogs out to hear a man yell "Hi Susan". See, when they have seen you naked they tend to remember your name. (thank you DH for recommending the company to the neighbors).

Oh, and a tidbit I learned at a 4th party with DH's office people. I finally treated myself to some new bras a couple weeks ago. My old ones were absolutely pathetic, pilling, lumpy, yellow, foul. Well, you may recall my husband has a real problem throwing anything away. ( Rose pink high flush toliet in corner of garage). Apparently my gem-of-a-husband spied the bras in the trash and took them to work and asked the women in the office if anyone wanted them. Luckily I know these women well enough that they were mortified for me but still.... Grosssssss......

Susan, Oh.My.God. I cannot believe your dh did THAT!!! I am absolutely speechless!! You are a really good sport, I would have killed my dh!!

As for the workers, well . . . hopefully a patio job will be done quickly! :)

I hope you explained to DH how that bra insident was ummm...a little odd :P. I mean there is saving and then there is saving. If you throw something like that in the trash he should trust that they need to stay there.

Sorry that the workers are looking for another peep show. Maybe you can show them the new non-pregnant version. :)

Susan, there are no words. I'm so sorry. You really need to have a talk with your dh about letting go and moving on. ;) I'm sorry about the contractors. Hopefully they will be done soon. I'm feel guilty laughing about your situation but your husband is just so darn hilarious.

I sure hope you got a really really good laugh out of all this, because I would hate to be laughing when you are not!

I still think the construction guys are just damn impressed by your mothering instincts. ;-)

Target is having a sale on patio furniture which includes those nice above ground fire-pit things. Get one so you can burn things you don't want your DH to give away. :P

Your DH is an absolute riot. And he's lucky you're such a good sport and can laugh at things!

As for the construction company, can you stay inside until the work is done?

jayali
07-07-2006, 06:25 PM
So I think you should get an old pair of DH underwear, which I am sure are 10x nastier then your old bras, and see if the patio guys would like them! Of course if you brought them over naked, you post pregnancy body would really be a thrill.

You keep me going!!!!

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Payback would be so sweet, no?
I'm so glad I didn't miss this post. I was thinking I would just read one more post then stop.

Usually I bag things when he is not here and take them to the dumpster behind Kroeger. It is too funny that you mention firepits as we had a fight about firepits tonight- he has started building one in our woods and I think it is a fire hazard, he thinks I am the crazy one.

One day you have to post a picture of your dh because my imagination goes wild trying to form a mental picture of this character you tell us about!

Edited to add that your DH sure is a cutie. No wonder you keep him and his duct tape around!

While I hope for our sakes he never figures this out, it's pretty obvious that in your marriage *you* are not the crazy one! My DH is thrilled he has a kindred spirit out there!

And while he has never done this with my bras, he has done it with other things. I was at a friend's house the other day and I saw a remarkably familiar pair of VERY ratty hiking boots. I said something like,"Hey! I used ot have those same boots!" and she explained to me that they were, in fact, my old boots. Apparently DH has been driving around for the past year with a bag of shoes I outgrew after having kids. He has been forcing them on our friends and his co-workers instead of taking them to Goodwill like he had offered! I was so embarrassed! But, now I can say, at least it wasn't my bras!!

O.My.God. I can't believe your DH did this. I would want to fall through the floor at that office party if it were me. You such a good sport for laughing about it.

And as far as the construction workers goes, just revel in your unforgetability. From what I've heard, naked is always beautiful, as far as guys are concerned, pregnant or not. So just hold your head high and let the guys enjoy the look of you pp body.

You already have plenty of fans.

I am sorry about the embarassment over the bras and what happened with the workers next door.
Thank you for posting your DH's photo. He and Nick look very handsome.

TOO TOO TOO FUNNY!!! you crack me up, i would have KILLED DH if he did that, but then again, he works with a bunch of men & his mother, so i'd be kind of scared who he'd offer my bras to :)

good thing he's attractive and you make cute kids, or i'd tell him to hit the road, maybe he can get together with Jeanne's (trumansmom) DH and they can have their own "used items extravaganza"
