From the airline, I mean.
Was anyone asked to provide a Doctor's note stating that they were fit for travel?
If so, how far along were you?
Tia!

Check the airline. They all have different guidelines as far as how far along you can be and still able to fly.

I want to say they dont want you flying after 36 weeks. For some reason that number sticks in my head.

I had no problems, but didn't fly past 32 weeks per my dr's orders (pregnancy #1).

I had a Dr's note but didn't need it (and I was just barely into the 3rd trimester anyway and
I carried pretty small).

I flew @ 31W & the UAL never questioned me. If they had I would've had to lie because I didn't get a note from my midwife.

I flew at 32 weeks and didn't get asked any questions. It was fun watching all the little old ladies scowl at me though!

I flew at 30 weeks and got a note just in case. I didn't need it, but I will say that I was pretty uncomfortable for the whole flight.

I flew at 32 weeks.

One suggestion: take a copy of your OB record with you. In my state, there's a standard form that gets filled out at every visit, and contains all of the information that would be needed if you required medical care away from home.

During each pregnancy, I got a copy of it 2-3 times, depending on the number of trips I took. B/c I explained to the OB's office that it was for travel, they had no problem making copies.

I just flew from L.A. to Savannah, GA on vacation with my family on Delta a couple of weeks ago -- I was 32 weeks outbound and 34 weeks coming home, and I didn't get so much as a second look. Of course, I'm big to begin with, so the flight attendants might have assumed I was just really fat.

My doctor didn't think it was a problem at all and said I wouldn't need a note. You might want to check your airline's website though -- I think that Delta's site says that they don't have a specific cut-off date or require a doctor's note.

Good luck!

My doctor always told me 32 weeks max for international and 36 weeks for domestic. My last flight was around 33 weeks, and I carried big...dd was born at 38 weeks. No one ever questioned anything.

Just be sure you drink LOTS of water, and get up from your seat at least once every hour to walk up and down the aisle and don't be embarrassed to do some standing stretches!
