... that you needed the maternity pants, or at least bigger-waisted pants than what you usually wear? Earlier than the first 2, like WAY EARLIER? Thanks :)

When I saw that double line, I thought, "Man, I have GOT to get some bigger pants!" Truly.

I am only on #2, but I couldn't stand my regular underwear after about a month, waaaay earlier than #1. In fact, I somehow managed to grow larger without gaining any weight for a while. Very strange.

I'm on #2, but it's my third baby since the first pregnancy was twins. I popped right away, and even now, people ask "how many this time?" The maternity shorts I bought around 12w are too tight now! The only thing that's comfy is way under the belly, though it takes a bit of getting used to. Motherhood has nice lycra/cotton undies that don't fall down.

Well, I now don't feel too terrible that I had to buy super stretchy gaucho pants from Old Navy -- super comfy on my belly -- even though I'm only 6 weeks along (still a bit cautious to celebrate even though I want to tell the world :)

I'll probably break out the maternity stash in the next 2 weeks. I just feel it coming...

Congratulations!!!!! How exciting. Happy and Healthy nine months to you!!!!!

To answer your question, with my first I started wearing materninty at 16 weeks. With this pregnancy I am in my transition clothes,,,,not pre-preggo stuff but the bigger sizes that I bought until being able to fit in maternity. I am currently 14 weeks.

Incidentally, my friend with two sets of twins said she popped out 6-8 weeks earlier in her second than with her first pregnancy. I may check out the Motherhood undies!

Congratulations!! My pants started fitting tightly around 7 weeks, too. Luckily stretch gaucho pants are hot right now, so that's what I've been living in, too. :)

Well, I pop extremely early and get huge even though I don't gain much. With Amelia I was wearing maternity pants at six weeks. With Linnea it was as soon as I knew I was pregnant so 3.5 weeks or something crazy like that. Don't feel bad about it. I only gained six lbs with Linnea but I was enormous.

I have an Amelia, too! Yaay!
And my good friend and neighbor has a Linnea!

Thanks, everyone. You gals make me feel SO much better!
