DD#1 has the initiails JCM and we want DD#2 to have the initials CJM but we cannot come up with a middle name for DD#2. Her first name will be Cecilia and our last name is a pretty common one-syllable name. We are just at a total loss and the name books don't seem to have anything. We like unique, but not outrageous names. Any suggestions?

I like the sound of Cecilia Jane :) Also, Jordan, Jocelyn, and Joella are unique but not outragous.

I just "met" a little girl named Cecilia last night (her parents call her Celia). So pretty!

I think a shorter middle name will sound good with a longer first name, although I do think Cecilia Juliette is very pretty.

Cecilia Joy
Cecilia Jade
Cecilia Jewel (although I sort of think of the singer)
Cecilia Jane (I'm starting to really feel Jane. It's taken a dip in popularity, and I rarely hear it anymore.)

My name is Jeanne Janel. :) I love the sound of Cecilia Jane, but Cecilia Janel also has a very pretty, feminine sound to it. :)

I like Cecilia Jeanne

or Joy ? Joie ?

A few others...

Justine
Josie
Jolene
Joelle
Jensen
Janine

I like Jane a lot since I like family names or "classic" names for the middle name. On the other hand, we also have a one syllable last name so for some reason we didn't want a one syllable middle or first name - I know that is silly :)

By the way, I love your choice for a first name!

DD#1's first name is Josephine :) so that's out, and I just feel weird about putting my name in there. Can't explain it, it just seems odd to me (not to do it in general, but for *me* to give her my name seems odd.) Oh, the dilema... Why can't babies just come out already named? :)

I do really like Jane, but DH knows someone who goes by "Firt name Jane" so that's out. Ugh, it seems like we know someone by every single J name out there. I may just need to make up a name!

My vote goes to Cecilia Jane and Cecilia Joy...Both beautiful and feminine!

I like Cecelia Janel and Cecelia Joy. Avoids your Jane problem, which would have been one of my picks. Actually, if your last name is one syllable, I would say Cecelia Janel is my #1. Good luck choosing!

Cecilia Jade?
Cecilia Jadyn?
Cecilia Jailyn?
Cecilia Janae?
Cecilia Jasmyn?
Cecilia Jazmin?
Cecilia Joelle?

I'm tapped. lol! GL!

My first thought was also Cecilia Jane but if you want something a bit different how about spelling Jane with a y as in Cecelia Jayne?

First thought was Cecilia Jane too. I see that is out. Also, I thought I'd tell you I have a cousin Cecylia Gail. Her friends call her CC.

Now there is a new girl at work and I love her name Jori. How about Cecilia Jori?

Other J's I love: Jordan (my all time fave for a girl), Janelle, Jessica, Jillian, Jacqueline, Jenna, Julia, Jaylin

ok, that's too funny - i was going to say jori or jorun/joryn too...

you don't happen to work for a company that manages clinical trials do you :)? i have a best friend from childhood who is a jori who lives/works in the la basin, wonder if it's the same jori?

if it is the same jori, the op's baby would be in good company, some of their family friends have already borrowed her name once for a baby :).

i also like cecilia jessica, janelle or jocelyn

I used to work with someone named Jessamy, which I like a lot.

Also Jacqueline might be nice with your short last name.

There is actress who spells her first name Jorja (she was on ER, West Wing, and one of the CSI shows, so either she's very successful or very fickle.)

I think that Cecilia Janae is very pretty. Kind of like Jane with a twist.
