I'm shipping a dress to my friend. It's a hand-me-down for her. Anyway, I was trying to figure out the cheapest shipping method via USPS. I think the first class mail is the cheapest up to 13 ounces. I think the dress with tissue paper only weights about 8 oz. But, my question is where do you put the dress? In an large envelope? Is there a poly bag for First Class Mail? I know Priority Mail and Express Mail have poly bags. I haven't ventured my way out to the ever so crowded post office yet. I was just browsing on-line.

Thanks in advance for your help!

You have to buy/provide your own packaging for first class mail, but that will probably put you over the 13oz limit for first class (so you'd have to send it parcel, with your own packaging, or priority, with your own or their free packaging), unless you can find a tyvek mailer. The PO sells some large envelopes/mailers but it might cost as much as the diff between priority and first class mail!

Will it fit in a priority flat rate envelope? Just $4.05 anywhere in the US!
