a few scary seconds for me at first, but then he found the heartbeat! The baby is still developing normally and the little heart was just flickering away on the screen...i was SOOOO relieved! I dont know that i'll ever be confident that things are going to be OK this time, but each time I get to see him (or her...) i feel a lot better. Thanks for all the well wishes! it means a lot!!!!!!!!

i'm having an ultrasound...i just am very scared that we've lost this baby....please pray there's a hearbeat on the screen today! I'm SOOO nervous....TIA!

It is so hard to face the various milestones of pregnancy after a loss. But I'm praying for peace & comfort in your soul and a healthy baby on the screen. Please keep us posted.

so glad everything is well. fwiw, i totally know how you were feeling. after i lost DS's twin at the end of my first trimester, it took me more than half his pregnancy to not literally get physically ill and sick to my stomach before my appointments. i could not enjoy any of my ultra sounds with his pregnancy because in my heart of hearts, i couldn't let go of that fear that another u/s would take the surviving twin away from me too. i've actually talked with my ob about options for foregoing u/s's all together the next time around, because the anxiety was so bad - we'll see. like i said, you're not alone in your fear. it gets better with time mama, be kind to yourself, and accept that it is just part of the grieving process, if you can. hugs.

Megs, I'm so glad everything went well for you. I totally understand about not being able to totally relax during this pregnancy. After two MC's and almost losing Amelia, I couldn't relax until she was in my arms. I was a lot calmer with Linnea even through the pregnancy was just as difficult (for other reasons). The closer you get to the end of your pregnancy, the easier it will get.
