I keep writing out nice long informative responses and when I click post I get an error message and then when I go back the LONG message is lost!!!! SO FRUSTRATING! It's always when I have limited time and then am not able to post it all again! Sorry to vent.... does this happen to everyone else????

It happened once a while ago so now I right click and copy my post before I hit the post button. That way, if something happens I can just paste it in a new reply. That is frustrating, isn't it?

I'm glad to hear it's not just me/my computer, but it is super frustrating!

ditto, I always copy a post that is long, cause I too have lost them before

I have an unstable computer so it locks up all the time and I loose stuff. I always copy too before I post just in case.

Ditto. I've noticed it's more likely to happen if I've spent a lot of time typing the post, or left it up on the screen for a long time while I've gone away and then come back and try to post. That's when I copy it.
Sometimes when it's lost, I can get it back by pressuing the back arrow on the Internet Explorer task bar (green arrow, upper left).

If I realize my post is going to be long I copy it to Word in order to finish it and then copy it back to here.
That's also happened to me before. I think it's because the system logs you out after 30 minutes of inactivity, so when you're typing a long post, it's not logging it as activity because you're not clicking on message links.
