I've seen writing on cars--usually a "For Sale" message or celebrating a high school graduation--and I assume those people would be able to eventually wash the writing off. What do you use to do this?

(Weird question but it's for a good reason! I am on the fundraising committee for my kid's school. Our biggest event is an annual carnival. I read on another website about writing your event info on cars as essentially free mobile advertising.)

TIA

Crayola had markers that write on glass, and then supposedly wipe off (designed to decorate store/school wondows). I've never tried them, but maybe they would work?

I tried to find it online without luck, but I have seen a product made specifically for this purpose. I have definitely seen it at Wal-Mart. Sorry, I don't know the name of it.

People used to use shoe polish - bad idea. That's what they used to write on our car when we got married and I think there are still little white flecks on the windows - 6 years later!

A lot of party supply or auto supply stores sell paint specifically for writing on car windows.

Try a store such as Pep Boys, AutoZone or Strauss. I've seen the markers there designed specifically for writing on cars.

Also remember to check with your local police department about the size and area of where you can write on a car that is being driven. Some areas have laws about this and you'd hate to get a ticket because of limitied visibility. Good luck!

I just saw a product for this at Walgreen's. Located with the crayons/markers.
