i was just wondering if anyone here knows if you can ship media mail from the self serve 24 hour shipping machine that is in the lobby of the post office? i have tried to call and there is no answer and then i tried the web site and cant find any answers. TIA :)

Not on our self-serve machines. But our machine is in the lobby and I think it has limited hours (so it's not 24 hours), even if it's open longer hours than the full service inside.

No, we have one of the automated postale things at our post office and it says you have to go inside to a person if you want to ship media rate. I wish you could though... :(

Not entirely sure, but in case this helps, I know that it gives you options for at least 4 ways to mail things, all with different prices and timeframes. I know the first screen asks the size of the envelope, package or letter and the screen gives you price options.
Don't know if this helps at all, but just in case...
I know you can not add insurance, delivery confirmation or those types of services.

I use that machine all the time. You cannot do media mail on it. Boo!

Overnight, Priority, First Class, and Parcel Post are your only options.

I know, isn't it awful today?

It is POURING down here. YUCK! DS was so bummed when we couldn't go to the park. :(

you actually can at ours-but first you have to take it to a scale that lets you calculate media rate-and then you come back over to the machine and select "purchase a different stamp", and then enter the amount you got from the other scale. So, I guess it depends. If you can figure out how much it should be, you should be able to get a stamp for that amount.
