Worth it? They're definately expensive, so I was wondering if there's any IRL experience.
Thanks so much in advance.

I'd certainly be interested in the responses, but I haven't taken the plunge yet. I will say that the Organic cotton and silk/wool is wonderfully soft--much more than my other clothing. But I got them through co-ops so they weren't too bad and while I could get some of the organic bedding for close to wholesale, it's still quite a bit of $$$!

Not quite the same, but we have natural latex pillows and a natural latex bed w/ an organic wool mattress pad (northstar beds).

The natural latex pillows I picked up from overstock.com for about $30.

We just got our new bed recently and I love it.

That's good to know. I'll check out overstock, thanks so much.

We are not getting a new mattress just yet, maybe next time we move (which is soon enough). Thanks again.

ETA: is this what you have? Does not feel like...rubber? My DH is quite sceptic ;) Thanks.

Eileen,
can you share where you would get the organic bedding for close to wholesale (if it's not private co-ops and such). Thanks.

We have a natural latex mattress, too, and we are absolutely addicted to it. Both DH and I don't like staying elsewhere because we don't have our mattress, which is funny because DH used to sleep on some god-forsaken 30 year old mattress pre-me, so he was far from a bed snob. It's really supportive, good for allergies, and just overall, a comfortable be. I'm going to check out overstock for pillows myself!

I just got organic cotton flannel sheets at Bed Bath & Beyond for a really good price.

http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=107042

I went to a store that sells environmentally friendly beds and tried out a wool pillow. It seemed comfortable and I may end up going back and getting one. Not sure what the cost was.

I did a lot of research on mattresses. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

It doesn't feel rubbery. Yes, it feels like foam. as opposed to feathers.. it is more dense than a feather pillow, but it isn't rubbery. Clear as mud?? LOL. The link you linked to is what we have...you found it :)

For me, it is a little higher than I prefer, but I mostly sleep on a really squishy old feather pillow and sleep on my side, so I like a lower pillow overall. I do like these from overstock. Right now we have four on our bed (2 older feather pillows, 2 natural latex) that we use. Lately I've been sleeping on the feather one but propping my big ole pregnant self in various ways w/the other. DH prefers the latex to the feather pillow (he's a back sleeper).

I think for the price it is very nice. My dad needed a new pillow, I let him try out ours and he loved it. I ordered one for him. Again, he likes a little higher of a pillow than I do.

Overstock's return policy isn't the easiest though so I'm not sure if you'll want to go that route or not, but the price is good and IMO natural latex products are great overall.

Edited for clarity

Thanks Carren. My BB&B did not have those, or at least I couldn't find them. I'll call another area one. It is a great price, esp. with the 20% off coupons they send. Thanks again.

I have the Simply Organic ones too and I also have the "all-natural" 600-thread-count (yum!) ones: http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=108837

Gaiam, one of my favorite catalogs to browse, has pillows: http://www.gaiam.com/retail/gai_searchresults.asp

Eri,

I had the same problem that one of them didn't carry the flannel (although they carried the regular) and they told me that none of the stores would be carrying them. On a lark I went to a different BBB and the person working there told me they had *just* gotten them in. She said that smaller stores may not carry them.

One option is that you can order it at the store but off the website and they will still take your 20% off coupon. You have to pay shipping but it would still be cheaper than most of the natural sheets I came across. My store had the sheets in white, natural and a sort of light mustard color and light blue.
