In case you've got it saved and will watch it later, I'll make some space.

It was very GOOD! I think it's starting kinda slow, but where they can take it is just awesome.

I was a little confused at the end when he jumped off the building. Was he even able to fly at all? Or is it his brother who has the power? Do they both? It was good to see Adrian Pasdar, I think he's cool and hot in a weird way, lol. And Jess (from The Gilmore Girls), he's so cute, good to see him on another show.

What's up with creepy cab guy that turned out to be the cheerleader's dad. I was thinking they all were born this way, but now I'm wondering if it may turn out to be some kind of experiement...but they are all over the place and different ages.

Those paintings of future events were scary. The NYC one was freaky, I have read that there will be some disaterious event they need to come together to fight...

What "power" does the stripper/mom have? Does she have an ass-kicking split personality?

All in all I am hooked. It was good. A little slow, like I said but I think that happens at the start of any new show. The first few eps are too busy introducing everybody and setting things up to get really hoppin'.

Can't wait for the story to get going. LOL, I really hope I'm not the only one watching. It always seems like the shows I get into are canceled because it's only me and a couple people from Idaho or something tuning in.

DH watched it, and he said he liked it. Unfortunately for you both, every show he likes is cancelled too. ;) (I feel like it's some evil power I have since I don't like TV at all! lol)

did you ever watch the USA series the 4400. there are some strange similarities. and there was a line at the end of the preview portion (at the very end of the episode when they preview the season) that is an EXACT line from a season in the 4400. It was strange to me.

anyway, i enjoyed it. I'm not sure about the stripper mom thing, but she certainly provides the T and A for the show (it's shocking what's on on primetime network TV these days). i made DH shut his eyes ;)

I don't much care for the stripper, but at least there's some intrigue there. I really liked the professor character and the Japanese character. I think the Japanese character has a really cool power. I thought Milo Ventimiglia's character was STRANGE...he was unnaturally fascinated with his brother...and his brother was unnaturally cruel to him! that story line has me a bit confused....

all in all i'll probably watch it next week as well!

I enjoyed it. I was confused as to what power the stripper chick has. But since it was all caught on tape hopefully that provide some clue as to what it is. I was also confused at the end whether he flew or it was just his brother or both. By far my favorite charater is Hiro. I kept LOL and waking up my lil' one during his scenes.

I enjoyed it too.

I'm unsure about the stripper mom as well and what exactly her "power" is.

So is it that only the older brother can fly? I would assume if the younger brother (I'll call him Jess - his name from Gilmore Girls) was able to fly he wouldn't have ended up in the hospital, right?

Now how is it that the professor (the one who "died") had a map that seemed to show where all these special people were?

Well, I watched it again and I still don't have my questions answered! But I still loved it,lol.

Yes, the Japanese guy was so funny. I thought he was so cute and his friend was super exasperated with him. :)

Can't wait for the next episode. It's getting a whole comic book vibe to it I think.

I was able to catch it (thanks to Candy for the alert) last night and really liked it. (I think I still like Studio 60 better but these are two very different shows) I was very pleased with the "twist" at the end since I was expecting the guy to jump off and start flying. LOL. Didn't see that one coming.

I have a feeling that HEROES is going to become LOST, i.e. lots of mysteries and intrigues and clues everywhere you look. It will demand commitment from the viewers in order to follow the twisted plot. My kids were not cooperating last night and I could hardly follow the dialogues and plots amidst the crying and shouting and whining.

Make me wish we had cable and TIVO badly. Don't want to have to wait for DVDs.

Hiro is definitely my character too. Have to add that I am very happy that they include a realistic modern Asian MALE character on a prime-time show. (Sorry Lauren Tom, Ming Na, and Lucy Lu that Masi Oka took your quota! LOL)

Ditto to what's up with the stripper character and the surprise at what they are showing nowdays on primetime. We don't watch that much TV b/c of bad reception, and mostly watch DVDs, so we were caught off guard by the almost porno sections, the GORE and BLOOD. We had to cover the kids' heads with blankets almost every time the stripper character shows up!

Cheers, Lin

We watched. I am also confused about the stripper's power and whether or not the younger brother can fly. Are we the only ones who think the blond cheerleader is like Buffy (the Vampire Slayer)?

I think the show has promise, but if the pace doesn't pick up I'm out of here.

DH made me watch it with him. He is a sci-fi guy and I don't do sci-fi. As in I haven't even seen The Empire Strikes Back. But over the summer we found Eureka (on the sci-fi channel) and I am loving that. So he thought I would like this. He was right. I was pretty much hooked in the first 5 minutes and looking forward to the next one.

On a totally unrelated note, I'm totally bummed the show Related from the WB was cancelled. Loved that last year.

We thought it was pretty good, but then I'm a fan of X-men and the like, so this is just my cup of tea. DH was getting a little annoyed with the jumping around factor as well because he thought it was slowing things down.

My only issue so far: if your dad gets killed and it's clear people were after him, don't move into his old apartment and take over his old job and not expect them to come after you too. I mean, DUH! I thought you were supposed to be intelligent... ;)
