I have no idea where to have a kiddie party, we've only gone to one of Sydney's friends parties , I'm sure this year or next we'll be going to lot's of parties ! The one place I was thinking about is expensive & because I waited so long it's booked ! Beginning to panic, her birthday is October 29th, I will never again wait so long !

Last year we had it at my MIL's house & had Elmo there & a clown, that party was so expenisve, had alot of people / relatives, we don't want to go so crazy this year, any suggestions ?

Anyone have a party at Gymboree ??

Any suggestions would be great !

We live in Queens, NY

Well, considering you don't want it to be expensive and you're short on time, I'd have a nice family cake/ice cream gathering and call it a day.

Happy bday to S. :)

I'd have it at home with grandparents and a couple of Sidney's friends. Cake, ice cream, balloons. At that age, I don't even know if I'd do an organized game like pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey. I'd probably just give them balloons, put music on, and let the kids dance around with them while the adults chat.

But then, I've never quite seen the attraction of big expensive birthday parties for kids who are so little they won't remember them, anyway. (Nothing against those who choose that route, I just don't see the appeal.)

I went to a birthday for a three year old last year with my kids that was a mini tea party, little china, scones, juice in the tea pot. The kids had fun, and it was a pretty cute idea for a small party.

Gymboree, Little Gym, Dance Studios, Childrens Museums, YMCAs, the zoo...

Speaking of low cost parties, we are going to have DS' 3rd birthday party this weekend at a playground with a pavilion. We are just going to have a birthday cake and pizza. Now, that's cheap LOL

Cheap yes, but those were my favorite parties to go to when I was a kid!! Playground, pizza and cake, ah.... :)
