need costume help!

Okay, we are having a big Halloween party here for our large playgroup. Costumes for kids and adults are mandatory!

Mari and 2 of her same-aged girlfriends are going as "Peace, Love, and Happiness". We are trying to brainstorm both how to dress them all up and how to get their parents costumes to coordinate.

"Peace's" parents are thing about going as hippies. They are 1 step removed from hippy status so that is not such a stretch. They need no help on costume. ;)

Mari is "Love". We're into witty, cheesy costumes. (We went as cheesy American tourists one year and it was huge hit). Any ideas? Cupid is out. No tight red outfits for us.

"Happiness's" parents... we're not sure what to choose for them.

I'm harnessing all the power that is the BBB to help us!! :)

I went as a bag of chocolate M&M's one year so I am not against wearing this sort of costume, you and your clan might be. Maybe have similar shirts printed for each of the girls that say peace, love, and happiness?

For the parents:

For happiness, maybe go with the annoyingly bright yellow happy faces on t-shirts. Can't thing of anything else right now for them.

For love, how about some famous couple that will make everyone think of love? Romeo and Juliet, for example. I'm sure there are a zillion others, but I can't come up with any suggestions. Might not be witty/cheesy enough.

ROFL.. I should add that we are all too cheap to buy costumes. We are making them for all of us! We are willing to be accessories. Parents also need to be able to chase 2-year olds and such. LOL
