We're in the midst of evaluating where we are on the toilet learning thing...mainly, we've determined she's not quite ready yet. That's fine with us. At dinner tonight as we were discussing it, DH comes forth with this gem of logic.

"I keep thinking about how late she was getting her teeth. She was late with that so she's probably going to be late with this too."

Seems to make sense to me. Anyone else?

Hmm, I can't think of any "logic" from my DH right now, but I have to admit that I am kind of glad that I am not the only one with a toddler that is not ready for toilet training either. (I'm sorry if that sounds selfish..) I've been trying not to stress about it.

"Why do I need to change his clothes. The wet part won't be next to his skin because I put a new diaper on him." Eww and his chest is wet too.

DD's not ready either. I don't care if it's selfish. :P It'll come soon enough. :)

ETA: Sorry, OP, I don't have anything for you.

Great thread! My DH is very smart but not so much when it comes to kids. Some DH logic:

1) "I read that you could actually pump breastmilk and store it for up to like a year. Sooo, I was thinking when you get back from the hospital we could rent one of those great hospital pumps, you could pump for a week and be done! They even have a hands free model. You could just sit there and go all day!"

2) "The umbilical cord looks like it gets so gross. Can we just ask them to cut it all the way off so we don't have to wait for it to fall off?"

3) To Dr at appt:
DH: "I heard fertility pills can cause twins."
Dr: "yes"
DH: "So if we wanted to have twins, could she take some before next time?"
Dr: "Ummm, no. Those are for people WITH fertility problems"

(Dear, dear hubby- love having you at the appts, but please, leave the talking to me!)
