I've got a friend who loves Polish pottery and I'd like to get her a nice piece for Christmas. I'm looking for an online source that is tried-and-true and that doesn't charge insane shipping. Has anyone ever ordered any online and was happy with it?

TIA!

I usually buy from ebay, but don't forget that Marshalls and Home Goods also sell it. I just bought a bowl with fall leaves on the sides. It's really cute!

I've bought a lot of Polish stoneware from The Baker's Catalogue (http://www.bakerscatalogue.com/). I believe their shipping depends on distance (it's been awhlie since I've ordered from them, so I don't know how much it is). They are very reliable. My dad bought us a large platter from them for our wedding, and it arrived broken. They promptly shipped out another one, and we didn't have to send the broken one back. And of all the things they've shipped to us (plates, bowls, platters, mugs, etc), that's the only thing that ever arrived broken.

HTH!
