It's starting to get cold here and that means hot bubble baths...just wondering: what are your favorite products? Recommendations on anything tub related: foaming bubble bath products, washes, salts, bath oils, masks etc. would be appreciated.

I really enjoy relaxing with a glass of wine and a good book every now and again after DD goes to bed...I'd love to hear which products you like!

You know, I like the good old-fashioned Kneipp herbal bath oils:

They are definitely more health-spa than frou-frou, though.

Along the same lines, Weleda/Dr. Hauschka have nice bath oils:

I love the Philosophy products. Amazing Grace is a nice, fresh smell (not too floral). Pumpkin Pie has a slight spice scent (like warm pumpkin pie!), which I like in the Fall/Winter. Their Gingerbread Man salt scrub is fabulous (they also have an Amazing Grace salt scrub). Honestly, I really like all of the scents! You can usually find a good price on them at drugstore.com (and don't forget ebates!) I also like that their products multi-task - bubble bath/body wash/shampoo.

For a bath oil (during the dry months), I go simple - Meutrogena Body Oil. Smells good and nicely moisturizes the skin.

Lush (based in the UK, but they have US-based stores too), carries some nice natural bath products:

HTH!

I want to like these products, and I have tried. But they just smell too strong to me, and not in a good way. I am using "American Cream" conditioner now, and it is actually pretty good (so, exception to the rule, I would say). I am also using "Sympathy for the skin", but I feel this one is overpriced and again, smells too strong IMO.

I would think that Lush might be more a special occasion experience. I guess if you think the smell is too strong, then maybe find one where users have rated as mildly scented. "Avobath" bath bomb comes to mind. "Big Blue" might not be your cup of tea. ;)

I love the Trader Joe's sugar scrubs --- especially the grapefruit one. They are great. You can make your own, but it is so much more fun to just buy them.

Mmm...a glass of wine and a hot bath, two things that I'm really missing right now!

I like bath leaves for an occasional luxury. Something similar to these, although I haven't tried this particular scent:

Thanks for the suggestions! I may have to get one of each!

I love posts like this!!

Bath/Shower Gel- Crabtree and Evelyn- Lime Oil Scent (They don't make it anymore- bought it in Covent Garden 5 years ago... I'm down to 2 bottles!!)
Hand Cream- Elizabeth Grady Handsilk- smells like cucumber- feels incredible!
Body scrubs- anything by Origins...but mostly the Paradise Found stuff...smells so tasty.

Origins also makes the whole line of help you to sleep stuff, in the blue bottles/boxes. All if it is amazing!
