If so, what do you like/not like about it?

We're just starting to look at replacement cars for me; I *want* a minivin (yes, i do!) but DH is anti-minivan and doesn't see why I want one. I love the higher stance of the van and the power sliding doors, but the 0-60 rating isn't the greatest and the pickup (to us) isn't that great either. I also like being able to carpool (either weekends away, day trips, etc) whereas DH is anti-carpool!

Will is three...and doesn't sleep :-(

I don't have one but a rental car guy that comes in my office mentioned that the Magnums in his fleet are the ones that always seem to be wrecks because they're miserable to see out of. I say get a Honda Odyssey Touring - they got more spunk than you realize! :)

We have a Chrysler 300 that has the same Hemi engine that we have no trouble seeing out of. We did try out the Magnum, but I didn't like it as much and I think they were harder to see out of maybe because of the "wagon" back?

It is your car - you get to pick the one you are most comfortable driving. End of discussion! I would never let my husband pick my car and vice versa - I am 5'3" and he is 6'2".

Here is a link I just posted on the car seat forum, but is might be handy for you. The Magnum does fine, btw.

Yeah I do want the Ody or Sienna - the Ody seemed more sport-like (well, for a van) than the Sienna. I don't think he even wants to be SEEN in a van!

I want to test drive the Ody again at a highway dealership to get on the gas more :-) The local dealer is, well...all 25 mph roads!

I did watch the sales guy struggle to get the Magnum out of the parking space - but that could because of the 18" Wheels!

Will is three and a half - we're now making progress with sleeping. First DS went from sleeping perfect to sleeping in the hallway and then our bedroom (on the floor). Just recently (October) he started back into the hallway and for the past few nig

I had to drive one earlier this year when my van got smushed by a drunk driver.

I HATED it! Yes, it comfortably held all three kids in the backseat, but getting them in and out was a bugger. It's SO much easier to get kids in and out thru a sliding door, than thru a swung open door.

It's also horrible to see out of! The visibility when backing totally sucks and there are no back up sensors like I was used to on my Windstar.

And, I just have to add....it's ugly. DH and I dubbed it 'the pimpmobile'. :D

I agree with Bill, my DH used to manage a rental car branch and he hated the Magnum for the same reason Bill mentioned. The visibility is horrible on it's own, I couldn't imagine trying to see out the rear window with little heads in the way.

LOL!!! We had one for 2 weeks after DH backed my car into a pole and that is *exactly* what we called it!!

I thought the visibility was poor, and DS didn't like the small rear windows either. The trunk area seems like it should be large, but it is rather narrow because the wheel wells intrude into it. The guys I work with, on the other hand thought is was cool. Definitely not the car for us!

We have a Pacifica, which we love, except that I don't think it's a great car for 3 kids, which is what we now have. If you have two kids, it's an AWESOME car.

Good luck.

yeah! So the Magnum is out of the runnung. We're now pricing the Sienna LE AWD :-) I suspect we're going to be killed this winter and we're itching for AWD!

Thanks for all of the comments, *really* appreciated! I'm going to test drive the Sienna this week I hope! We have a long road trip T'giving weekend and would love to be in it by then!
