View Full Version : Can you help with a Parent Survey?

My advisors at UCSD are looking for parents who have at least one child over the age of 3 (adult children are fine) to participate in an online parent survey. They are intersted in parent's beliefs about the acceptability of certain things that parents might say. For example, you will be presented with a story in which a mother tries to make a daughter feel good by telling her that she did a good job cleaning her room, even though the child had actually made things messier. You will be asked to evaluate what the mother said. They will use this information to help better understand children's reasoning about people. It would only take 15 minutes, and your responses are completely confidential (as approved by the Human Subjects Board). It might even be fun or interesting ;)

I wish DD were old enough. I took the survey just for fun without submitting. Interesting things to consider as our kids grow up.

I took it. Pretty interesting. Did you all know that if you don't brush your teeth they turn green like pirates teeth?

That was the exact thing I thought of. We don't use that, but my friend told me that's what she and her kids say too! I think you must have the same Pirate picture. ;)

Who came up with that one? Must not have been a mom of a toddler - Kaylin thinks that green teeth and pirates are cool. She'd never brush her teeth again (although it wouldn't take much for her to never brush her teeth again).
