There's another one like this out there that will make you want to shoot yourself. http://deathball.net/notpron/. It's actually quite adept at forcing you to understand your computer. To solve every level's riddle, all you need is the computer you're using. There are default apps installed on every computer that you'll need to use, or you may need to go somewhere on the Internet. It's positively insane, and I gave it up after level 10 or so because I had no life. Good luck.

ok, so i looked at this yesterday and didn't even bother, i didn't have time. i tried today and got past 1 fine, but for number 2, do i have to darken my screen? my laptop won't let me darken very much, or at least i can't figure out how to darken all the way, only 1/2 way.

I started it last night, got hooked and kept at it until 1am. Here it is 8am, I have to get DD up for playgroup, but I just HAD to give level 25 another try. I don't recommend starting it if you're compulsive like me :)

It is really fun, though. My best advice is to have two windows open so you can check out the forums for help but keep your level open. You'll also need to surf a bit and use some of your computer smarts occasionally. (Nothing hard, cut/paste, highlight, right clicking, etc.) I have to go, but I'll be back later if anyone wants hints! (Hint #1, the first page, after the title page, where they list rules, IS the first riddle!)

I'm sorry if I'm having a stupid moment, or my mac isn't giving me something. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do. Do I look for clues and then paste in a link? When I get to a new link will it say it is part of the game? I think I'm missing something, but for whatever reason my NEWish mac is running an old browser even though I've tried to update it many a time, and there are tons of things that don't work for me. I can't figure out if I just don't know what to do, or if there is something I'm not getting. Without giving away anything I hope, I saw something on the first page, pasted it in, and ended up with a german website I think. Does that sound right, is that the game?

If you end up skipping a level, GO BACK. Do NOT NOT NOT continue without going back and getting the answer that brings you to the next chronological level. You'll only come to a brick wall later if you do.

Also, write down the answer to every riddle on a note somewhere or notepad or something. You'll need those previous answes sometimes.

always select all or drag your cursor or highlight everything every time. Look at the title of the page up on top. paste stuff into word or notepad to make things easier.

To get to the poem, replace "gen.html" with the name of the file you got from the coded clue. This will bring up the poem. Not that it helps much!! ;-)

I got it on something I tried on a whim. I'm not sure the logic behind it, but it gets you to level 31, so it must be the right answer. I don't know how to give a clue witout it being a spoiler to if you don't want to see the answer stop reading!!

You need to enter the solution exactly as it is shown (including caps or no caps, etc.) You enter the solution like this http://www.weffriddles.com/XXXXXXX.html, where XXXXXX is the solution. For each level, you replace XXXXXX with the new solution. If you have entered the correct info, the next level with appear. Otherwise, you'll get a 404 error.

I had the same problem--make sure it is all in lower case. Took me an hour to figure that out last night.

Don't look at the words in terms of meaning, look at them in terms of the title of the level. Unfocus your eyes if that helps. The information you get will help you find the answer in the same way you found the file name for the poem.

You are on the right track - you need to change something, but it's not the URL of the page. Look for something else on the page that is named wrong and change that. If that doesn't help let me know. :-)

Ok, so WTF? The way I solved this was that I selected all and copied the whole thing into PPT to see if I could separate out the images and see what, obviously, had to be text other than "blah" behind the image of the window. So, I found that and passed. However, the Weffriddles forums say there is at least one other way to solve this right there within the browser. I'm stumped how you'd achieve viewing what's behind the window, and I don't see the answer text anywhere else on the page. Apparently, I need this later. So, can you tell me how you solved it?

Ok, this one was extremely difficult, as far as I'm concerned. The hints about coordinates sent me on wild goose chases for positions on the phone. 2 was North, 3 was northeast. FUGGETIT. No, no, no, no, no. The first number represents a place on the phone. The second number represents a place on the thing you just found via the first number.

An analogy. If the world's countries each had a number, those countries would be the first number. Then if each time zone in those countries had a number, the time zone within each country would be the second number.

Any more than that, and I'm giving it away.
