I had this grand idea to make a lamp out of a gumball machine. Got my machine from ebaby. Now I can't find gumballs to fill the darn thing. I only need 2 pounds and everyone online sells them in cases. My local candy stores can only get them with writing or a logo stamped on it. I just want PLAIN, PRIMARY color gumballs....geez..I had no idea it would be this hard.

Well, I saw this on Fatwallet.com. It's probably more than 2 lbs (?), but the price seems reasonable. Here's the listing from fatwallet.

"The Sharper Image has Dubble Bubble jumbo gumballs on sale for just $9.95. Each gumball is one inch in diameter, and you'll get 850 of them. Free shipping is available through this link. I believe that these are bulk, not individually wrapped, so they would not be good for trick-or-treaters."

Here's the short link to the item on Sharper Image - http://tinyurl.com/u3ox7

Here's the short link to the free shipping mentioned in the listing - http://tinyurl.com/y7gzrr

I haven't ordered this so I can't vouch for it myself, but thought this might help.

Sounds like a cute idea. But eventually - and I'm not sure how long that it will take, but eventually gumballs will fade. If you can't find gumballs that suit you, what about marbles? (They definitely won't fade.)

I came on just to tell you I saw a large tube(30oz) of gumballs at Linens N Things tonight. It was 9.99 and you can use BB&B coupons if you have them. You could also look at bb&b.

Hope you're able to find them. :)
