Scam. Don't reply. If you're ever uncertain, go directly to your Paypal account (not through a link) and you can check for yourself if there are any messages pending for you.

One way I pick up on some of these scams is I use different emails for Paypal vs Ebay. I'll often get these types of Paypal emails at my Ebay email address, so I know for a fact that they are fraudulent.

It's a scam. When I received one of those, I fwd'd it to Paypal and received a response that it was phony.

If in doubt, forward it to [email protected] and they will verify its authenticity for you. One tip? It's not addressed to you by name - a real e-mail from Paypal would be, and it would not have links like that; it would advise you to go directly to the site and login to your account to do whatever needed to be done.

I've received them, and I don't even have a Paypal account.

Totally a scam. I could tell by the first line. If PayPal emails you, they use your name.

Don't click on any links, forward it to the spoof address and then delete.
