Off shoot from my other post, but we picked up our Honda Pilot tonight and now the fun begins of choosing our license plates; DH and I are fans of vanity plates!

We're allowed a max of 7 letters/numbers.

Other plates i've come up with in the past are: WDRZBTR (for my 97 Pontiac Grand Prix with the slogan of wider is better) and 1OVRZRO for my Infiniti (meaning one divided by zero is infinity!).

I've seen this and am considering it: FNKSHNL (functional) but I want more ideas!!!

Not good at creating those but pretty good at deciphering. Here are 2 suggestions, not too good but I thought I'd give it a go.

momn8tr = momi-nator

pltcoplt = pilot (to ) copilot

My fav plate ever O2BINOZ, closly followed by ALWYSL8 and PB4 UGO. The second one applies to me way too well. ;)

I was denied for PB4 UGO! It's too offensive!!

Back to the drawing board..though I'm thinking of FNKSHNL (functional). I'll check a few other sites for more ideas too!

I do get it and I love it! I'm always saying 'scuse me for everything!! Only problem is that "QQ" in NJ designates a historic vehicle! I'll try it anyway.

Thanks!

Oh wait...i could do: s cue me or scuzeme

Probably the funniest and most surprising plate I have seen is MILFOF3. I told DH about it and he joked that we could get his and her matching plates for Christmas since we only have 2 kids. We would just have to change the M to a D for him.

FLYNGHI

I think you should get plates that reflect the car. I loved when I saw one plate on a Volkswagon that was DADADA. Remember the song that they used in their advertisements long ago?

The Washignton Post used to run a series where they put a personalized plate and you had to guess the car.

Not that you're getting a minivan, but the funniest one I saw was on a minivan and it said "I CAVED" - I wish I had it!!

Bob Levy used to post some funny ones in his column. Too bad he retired! I liked his writing style.

It used to amaze me the things he would report people doing while driving on the beltway. I think he even mentioned people curling their eyelashes while driving on the beltway in rush-hour traffic. Some of the things people do! :shakes head:

Oh yes. I remember one time on I-66, traffic was more horrible than usual. By some miracle I got to the front of where the traffic was and it was a lady in the left lane, talking on a cellphone, smoking a cigarette, I think eating too while driving around 40 mph! The traffic is one of the main reasons why we moved.

Can't say I blame you. Cost of living was our main reason. My parents still live there though, so I do get back there on occasion.

I loved NoVA, but traffic is a nightmare!
