My mom has requested "sexy nighties" for Christmas. She wears plus sizes (in blouses she is a 22/24). Any one know where I can get her some really pretty things in her size? I looked at jcpenneys, etc., but didn't see anything special.

She wants knee length or longer.

TIA!

Don't know what styles, etc. you have in mind, but Lane Bryant is the place to go for clothes that actually fit for women size 14 and up.

Styles actually vary by store, so if you have more than one store in your area, might be worth a trip to both/all. The website, www.lanebryant.com, is also good. The mail-order catalog is a different company, with lots of icky polyester doubleknit.

I'm a little bummed that my weight loss is knocking me out of their sizes. Theirs are the first blouses I've owned that actually fit me since puberty struck.

Good luck in your search!

You could try Avenue, too. I think they have a website.

Pajamagram.com has a few things but expensive.

I just wanted to say I don't think I would ever ask for sexy nighties from my children for Christmas! I must lean a little prudish. Good for you and your mom.

Yes, I would second either Lane Bryant (not the catalog) or The Avenue. I also have some pajamas from Pajamagram, but they were nursing PJs and I don't remember them having too too much in plus sizes, but they're definitely another place to check out (and I believe an ebates place and there is usually a coupon floating around, still expensive though).

I've never been thrilled with JCPenney plus or maternity sizes anyway. I think your best bets are probably Lane Bryant or The Avenue.

Try these:

http://www.silhouettes.com
http://www.ullapopken.com

IMO the quality is much better than other plus-sized shops.

Good luck! I'm not sure I would take on this task if my mother asked me this! LOL

LOL! What can I say? She went through menopuase, the kida are (mostly) out of the house...my parents are enjoying themselves these days.

(shrug)

It should be noted that she asked me and my sister, not my brother or grandma. ; )

ETA: Thanks to everyone for the suggestions!

I like the Avenue, and we also have a Catherine's here that's pretty good. I have no clue about their website, though, I always go to the store.
