I have suffered from IBS for almost six years and in the quest to find things to ease my discomfort, I found the books written by Heather Van Vorous. They made a HUGE difference. Well today I wanted to make a recipe from one of the books and couldn't find it. I did a little searching online and discovered that Heather now has a whole website dedicated to helping IBS suffers complete with tons of recipes and a monthly newsletter. The site is www.helpforibs.com. I can't recommend the site or the books enough. Just thought I would share for anyone else who shares my affliction.

I found the website when I was diagnosed about 18 months ago. Awsome information and recipes. I drink the acacia fiber in water daily and I've almost completely eliminated symptoms just by that alone.

I'll have to try it. My main symptom right now is bloating which is driving me crazy.

Thanks Jessica! My sis is pretty sure she has IBS so I will be emailing her this link.

Definitely have her pick up the books too. They totally changed my life. And even if she doesn't have IBS specifically, the tips and recipes are quite helpful for anyone suffering from abdominal discomfort.

I just found that site a few weeks ago. Unlike so many others, pregnancy makes my IBS almost intolerable. =0

With Amelia, my IBS was better. I could even tolerate small amounts of milk. With Linnea, I was in agony. I hope that you are able to find some relief.

Thankfully, this affliction missed me, but my Mom has it. (So does her sister.) Thanks for posting this! I'll pass the info along to her.
