... the kind that take individual packets or pods... I was thinking I'd drink alot more coffee if I had one (not that this would be good! LOL!) but I like the idea of being able to make myself a single cup in the morning...

what kind do you have? are the packets proprietary to the make or brand of coffee maker? is it easy to clean? how's the coffee? does it come in a bunch of different kinds?

I'm thinking of using one of those linens n things coupons for 20% off and getting one while they're on sale, but honestly, I haven't even seen one in person, let alone had a cup of joe from one.

thanks!!

I have a Senseo and it's good enough. DH mostly drinks tea and I make myself one big cup of joe a day, so it works for us.

You can buy the Senseo pods or most any other brand. We did have problems with one brand being too thick, but I can't remember which one it was. I most often buy Archer Farms (Target house brand) pods.

You can also buy the Eco Pod, which is a refillable pod so you can use the coffee of your choice and brew it stronger or weaker to your taste.

Go for it!

my sister has the senseo and it works good.We drank coffee from it when we spent a few days with them..it makes good STRONG coffee. it's like espresso. So if you like a big cup of coffee,i don't know if this would fit your needs. Also-you have to buy the specific pods. This wouldn't work for us b/c dh loves gourmet coffee's. He likes to use differant kinds depending on his moods. But if these things aren't a problem for you then go for it. Add some vanilla silk to it and some sugar and yummmm.

My brother has this one, and loves it.

It has some sort of bar code reader, so it "knows" what kind of pod you put in. ie, latte, hot choc, etc. He uses many different brands of plain coffee, hasn't tried the lattes or hot choc. ;)

He had a JV (Juan Valdez, I believe) from Target awhile back. It lasted 3 months before it stopped heating. It also leaked a lot. He only spent $15 on it clearance, must have been why!

I use a Krups espresso maker that has a steamer to make lattes. I just buy bulk Starbucks "Espresso Roast" and steam a bit of milk and vanilla coffee syrup for a YUMMY cheap "venti vanilla latte" of my very own. ;) I don't know if I'd spend all that money for the one my brother has. I like my lattes.
