Done with my semester at school.... what to do now as a "present"

I just completed a very challanging semester of college. I was taking three classes, one of which had a 6 hour a week internship. I also work part time and i was sick for basically the whole semester. I told myself that when i finished i would give myself some sort of present. I would be willing to spend up to about $200 for this, maybe a little more.

I want to get a new ipod but that may be a present from my parents for the holidays, i am not in a rush to get that.
I have a tiffany bean necklace so i was thinking about getting earings to match but my ears are very sensitive and i have not been able to wear earings lately.
I want a new purse.... maybe that should be its own post to try and get advice about what brand/style i should get
I really want a spa day but since i have been having these issues with my hand i want to wait another month or so until they are resolved and my surgery is over.

what do you like to do as a "treat" when you complete something very draining, physically or emotionally?

I just wanted to say congratulations on finishing such a tough semester. I would wait until after the holidays and see what you get or don't get and then treat yourself. You've already mentioned my favorite things to treat myself (spa, purse, necklace), maybe something you wouldn't normally buy for yourself (some super nice sheets - the gift that keeps on giving!).

congrats on finishing up. i don't have a big idea but you should treat yourself to a spa.. that is all i want now but i don't have anything to reward myself over. then you can buy something after the holiday season..

I think i am going to wait but i am also not expecting any large or small presents for the holidays. I did not get a birthday present from my parents last month either, maybe i should ask them for cash, i told my mom that i want some new jewlery....

Sheets are a great idea, but if i tell my grandmother she will get them for me just because, she loves to buy linens.

Congratulations on finishing your semester! That kind of accomplishment deserves some kind of day off. If not a spa, how about just a day off? Treat yourself to a very nice brunch or lunch, window shop, lounge around at Barnes and Noble. That's what I would do anyway :-)

I like to spend a day in a beautiful place where the only thing I can hear is water running, wind blowing through trees, etc. I find it restores my spirit.

What do I do?

Well this quarter I finished my final, drank a glass of port and immediately shifted into "lordy, I can get all this extra work at work done, wheeee" mode the next morning.

Previously (prior to Toby) I would finish my last final and eat a piece of cheesecake with a friend and immediately crack my books for next quarter.

I think the spa thing is far more desirable. :P

I have gotten 2/3 of my grades and i have one A and one B. I am happy, and i hope i did as well in my third class.

I think i am going to plan a day at the spa after my surgery and when i am healed. I have been wanting one for so long i really need to just do it.
