I am putting together a picture frame for a present for my parents. In the middle is them with DH, DS, and I. Then each of them with DS on each side. At the bottom I wanted to put a nice poem or quote about families..growing older, sticking together, becomming larger things like that. I have been trying to come up with ideas and I think my head may explode...I can't come up with anything or find anything. Any suggestions?

Try googling "grandparent poem" and the like. I found a nice grandma one I used for mil's calendar this year.

I need to get to bed or I'd find some for you. Hth.

I found this one:

My Grandson
© By Paula Dillon

If my day seems lonely and the sky is grey,
A look at his face and it all goes away.
A sweet little grin on his sweet little face,
Nothing could match it, or take this child's place.
He speaks with expression as he holds out his hand,
He has a mind of his own, and he does take a stand.
My days just get brighter whenever he's near,
My heart, it just breaks, when he sheds any tear.
I want him to smile and be happy each day,
And I hate when he's sad in any way.
His laughter is catching, it fills up a room,
His smile is my sunshine, his tears are my gloom.
I thought I couldn't love him more at age 2,
But the older he gets I find that I do.
He's just like a sponge, he absorbs everything,
As I watch him dance and I listen to him sing.
He holds up his fingers to show you he's 4,
Could a grandmother ever ask for more.
The things he comes up with just blow me away,
Like "if he sits on an egg, will a chick come to play?"
I will fill up my memory with this small little boy,
As he plays with each favorite, most wonderful toy.
For as he gets older I'm sure he will be,
Spending less time and less memories with me.
For although he will always be my "Sweetie Heart",
This small little child will soon have to part.
For he'll grow to a man and then Gramma will see,
Even old, he will always be perfect to me.
For I love my own children with all that I am,
But nothing compares to just being GRAM

I know it needs to be shortened, but maybe you could find a little excerpt?

ETA: (I like this one)

Grandma & Grandpa, you are special.
Your love knows no bounds.
A room takes on a special warmth whenever you're around.
You think we're cute and talented and maybe, even wise.
But we know that's because all grandparents
see through loving eyes. Every day with you is precious.
We're so grateful for the hours.
Of all the grandparents in the world
we're thankful that you're ours.
