Need help with internet problem

All of a sudden, when I click on a link in one site, such as here, for example, instead of popping open a new window in addition to the first window, it closes the original window and opens up a new one. It's a PITA. I can't figure out how to fix it. Help!

Are you using MicroSoft Internet Explorer or some other browser? What version? What Service Pack (see Help, About)? Have you done any recent updates?

I'm using Microsoft Internet Explorer. I just upgraded to 7.0, and it actually solved the problem. I don't know how it started, but I hope it doesn't happen again. It may have happened when I tried to do a Yahoo toolbar upgrade, which wouldn't work for some reason.
