A dear friend of mine is having her baby boy tonight. She is 25w5d pregnant and has been hospitalized for the past two weeks. I believe in miracles and I believe in the power of prayer. Please, if you have a chance to say a prayer or think encouraging thoughts for this family, I know they will appreciate it.

With gratitude,
Linda

Definitely sending prayers their way.

I was born at 24 weeks way back in the 80's, and I came out just fine after a relatively short NICU stay. I can only imagine how much medicine has improved since then. So keep your hopes up!

I will be praying for your friend, her family and that precious baby boy.

I went into premature labor at just over 25 weeks and remember vividly how terrifying that experience was. I was lucky and after hospitalizations, meds and bed rest DS stayed put until 32 weeks. He was in NICU for 50 days and we got to know several families with babies born at 23 and 24 weeks. Modern medicine is truly amazing and there are physicians and facilities prepared to deal with such an early baby. BTW, those babies are now bigger than my DS!

Your friend is lucky to have you on her side. I, too, believe in the power of prayer and I will continue to keep this family in mine.

My nephew was born at 25 weeks...at the same time and hospital as Jera...and he is doing just fine. Yes, it was a struggle at first, and he has a few delays, but he is a happy, healthy little boy. :)

Lots of positive thoughts going their way!!!!

My friends little girl was born at 26 weeks, she was in the NICU for 10 weeks, came home before her actual due date w/ O2 and an apnea monitor. She will be 4 tomorrow!!!! Completely on track developmentally-and actually big compared to other 4 yo's.

Wishing your friend all the best.

You all are so amazing. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your prayers and good thoughts. My friend's little boy was born on Wednesday evening weighing just over two pounds. I've seen a picture of him and he is beautiful! He's expected to remain in the NICU until March. Again, I'm so grateful that a group of "strangers" would take the time to pray for someone they'll never meet. I'm grateful to all of you.

With love,
Linda

Linda, please keep us posted and know that we will continue to pray for that baby boy! What is his first name?

If your friend needs to talk to a BTDT mom, please feel free to PM me. It's scary having a baby in the NICU but I found the doctors and nurses to be such a source of strength, information and genuine comfort. They LOVED their jobs and it really showed.

Best wishes!
