Well not actually me, its my DD. She is 15 and in an advanced creative writing class in school and had to write a childrens book. She did a great job but now has to do the illustrations and such. What can she do to make it into a "book" the standard is to use either heavy construction paper or so sort of heavy paper to make the actual book itself (am I making sense???) Anyway I guess my question is, is there a place online where I could get her book made into an actual hardcover book?
TIA

You can check to see if there is a local book binder in your area. I made a book for my DH for our first anniversary that was bound in leather but you could do a hardcover book or a soft cover book that was much less expensive. I was incredibly pleased with the end result. It also didn't take very long to get done.

I think any of the pic sites will be able to help you depending on how fast she needs it. You might have to scan or snap digital pics of the pages though.

Check out http://www.makingbooks.com/freeprojects.shtml and http://www.vickiblackwell.com/makingbooks/index.htm for some innovative bookbinding ideas she can do herself.

Other ways to get something "real enough" (not as exciting as a hardcover book, but lasts better and feels more real): Go to Kinkos and get it comb bound (normal people call this spiral binding, mostly, but they're technically different). Get a saddle stapler and you can staple in the middle of pages to get a pamphlet.

I guess this really doesn't answer your question, but I think making books is cool, and it can be nice to have available options somewhere between construction paper and real hardbacks, so you can make more!
