So there is an instance where the paper yellow pages are better than looking online........

I know the boards are slow but I'm hoping someone has had carpet bound into area rugs and can toss me a price for it. I'm working with a carpet store but don't know if the $1.50/linear ft. they're quoting is just right or too high. It doesn't sound high but I'd like to check my bases and can't find a company online that does it.

TIA for any help,

An update for future reference:

I was able to get 12'x8' and a 10'x8' frieze carpets with binding for $294. I don't know how else I could do that for $300 so I think the $1.50 was reasonable.

I paid $81 two years ago for a 5x8 rug with binding. That was for the whole thing - I don't have the reciept so I'm not sure how much was rug vs. binding. Call around to a few stores in your area, especially the smaller stores. The one I used was a real "hole in the wall" place, but they had really nice remenants and the binding price was much cheaper than the big name stores.
