DH, Bryn, and I were stuck in our bedroom this afternoon while we waited for Ian to pass out in his room (across the hall). DH occupied himself quickly, checking out all of his Christmas presents, while Bryn wandered around our room. She made her way into the bathroom while I was putting on makeup. She got ahold of the cap from my cover up and started putting that on her face. Then she started wandering around so I figured...Hey, why not try out nail polish to keep her in one place. She sat right down and was mesmerized! I haven't seen her that still and quiet in...I do not know when! I looked through my collection and the only nail polish that I could find in "quick dry" was bright pink (summer toe nail color). So...My 22 mo Bryn is proudly walking around with bright pink finger nails!! YIKES!!! Thankfully she doesn't suck on or bite her nails. I think that it is way too soon ~ kind of scary! Moms of DDs, when did you start with the nails? Well...at least this might get her over her obsession for tattoos. All I can find are Spiderman ones for Ian. Wow...she is getting so big. :(

I started painting DD's nails a couple of weeks ago. I tried when she was smaller to paint her toes but she wiped it off. Now I use it to bribe her to sit still to have her nails cut. Nails can't be painted without being cut first. :) It works sooooo well, we use Wet and Wild. It doens't stay on long, but she loves it and admires her fingers and toes for like an hour each time, lol.

I'd avoided introducing the idea to my 3 1/2 year old DD out of fear she'd constantly want it done, but thanks to Great Grandma's neighbor kids, she had her nails painted for the first time just before Christmas. Lovely alternating red and blue nails too!

I can't remember, probably around 2 or 2/2, the best is clear polish with silver sparkles, apply it very thin & it dries quick, look's cute & when it chip's it's not so obvious !!
