Yeah, if you go back into apost to edit it (for any reason - like if I notice I spelled something wrong), it shows that it's been edited, and when.

i don't think so, but i think the mods have all been extremely good about posting a clear sentance in the space where the original text was that the post has been 'edited by a mod'. not sure about the red text referencing a mod tho, i've never really thought about it/looked since they are usually very clear in the text portion.

Yes, you are correct. It will have the user name of whoever made the edit.
