This thread is funny stuff :)

The short version - I didn't have the car all week, so was going to do the shopping for the party on Friday night. Except on Friday when DH got home from work, we discovered the pipe that goes from the main house to BIL's cottage had burst. So there went the shopping, while DH fixed the plumbing. By the time it was mostly fixed (not all the way fixed, since it's too cold for some step in the process), it was time for me to go to bed...so I did.

We didn't have time to get the favors organized, but the dollar store had plenty of streamers and stuff, and we had the goods on hand to do bbq beef sandwiches (I love the crock pot). Hot dogs are luckily quick to buy and quick to make. *sigh*

The cake, from my favorite bakery, was (is) delicious. It's all I've eaten today so far...I start WW again tomorrow :9

Breakfast party - we'll do that for MY birthday. Let's see what MIL has to say about that. HA!

Aack! Well, hope Nathan enjoyed his birthday anyhow. I'm sure he did. :-) and you SHOULD do a breakfast party for your birthday, just to see the IL's faces

Aw, Girlie. I'm sorry. At least it was the plumbing for your BIL instead of your portion of the house!
