Let's see what your pets look like.

I've never posted a pic, so here's giving it a shot!

They are Max and Ruby...

ETA: Ok, that really stinks...my pics are HUGE. I have no idea how to fix it. Oh, well. They are actually really pretty cats! Their eyes look weird because I tried to fix the whole glowing eyes thing :D

They're beautiful! I can't imagine how much effort goes into keeping that clean and fluffy. ;)

Thank you :)

Absolutely no effort! Ruby is a grooming psycho. She never stops grooming herself OR her brother! I really need to brush them to cut down on the shedding, but don't bother very often. Max will get matted spots occasionally, but I cut them out pretty easily. When they were babies, Ruby almost died from a bacterial infection and she was skinny and ratty looking for a LONG time. I was shocked when she actually turned out cute!

ETA: I should note that they are strictly indoor kitties. They are terrified of the outdoors!

I SOOO miss having a cat. Jonathan says no more animals until somebody is potty trained - kids or pets. :P

Seriously, though, the shelter in our area leaves the cats out in a two big open rooms. They actually encourage you to bring your kids to help keep the cats well socialised. So, that's where I go to get my cat 'fix' with Sophie. In fact, it was/is one of her potty training rewards to go 'see kitty kats.' :)

One day, I'll have another. I'm so jonesing for a big orange tom cat!

Here are my two. Maisey is the chocolate lab and is 4 years old. Ace is the yellow lab mix and is 3. They are both completely spoiled. The cat in the background passed away back in the summer at the grand old age of 19. I got her when I was 11 so needless to say that was a difficult time.

DS looooooves the kitties. His second word was "tat" (as in, "I tawt I saw a puddy..."). The orange cat knew I was pregnant very early, and used to sit next to me on the sofa with his paw on my belly. He taught DS to crawl, too. :)

Maisy is the dark brindle, Glamis is the one she's sleeping on in one of the pics, and Stymie is a former foster that is now part of our family (he's 10!).

BTW, they're French Bulldogs :)

Anya is a "Golden Masticator," a rare breed best identified by the debris of ragged chew toys and destroyed furniture left in their wake.

When we adopted her, we were told she was a "terrier mix" of some sort. I fell in love with her unusual eyes. :)

Adorable. :)

Ishy loved this photo, too, Ry. I asked him, "What's that?" and for each of your boys, he first answered me with, "Dog!" :P (I did get him to say "cat" and "baby," though. And after I got him to say that Max was a baby, he pointed to himself and gave me a questioning look, so I had to reassure him that yep, he was a baby too.)

Marisa6826

Thanks, Girlie. We love them! They're very much 'little big dogs'. Small body, big personality.

My first 'set' of Frenchies, Willy and Tickie-Girl died last year. :(

We got Glamis to keep Tickie company, and then when Tick died a couple days before Christmas '05, we got Maisy.

I was involved in Frenchie Rescue, and Stym was here on a 'stopover'. He ended up settling here so well, we kept him. It just wouldn't have been fair to move a 10yo dog to yet another home (his original family tossed him after having him his entire life - they said he jumped too much, which couldn't be further from the truth). He's the best behaved out of all three!!

Thanks again

Just wanted to say I think all your pets are adorable, and Candy, thank you for starting this thread!

Your boys are all so handsome.

I did a double-take at first, though. Your brown tabby looks like a twin brother of our much beloved and much missed "old man" and at first glance your orange tabby looks like our "baby boy." My DH looked over and asked, "Um, who is that baby with our cats?"

Does your brown tabby have any kittens?

Seriously, cute kitty on the giant bear lap. Our kitties like to curl up with DD's animals, too. Makes for fun photos.

Not that we know of - DH got him as a stray 14 years ago, when he (the cat) was about 6 mos old. So unless he, ahem, had premarital kitty sex as a "teenager", he didn't have the chance before he was neutered.
