DD was diagnosed with an ear infection today. She isn't in extreme pain or anything. She just occassionally says her ear hurts.

Should we skip her bath?

Bath would be fine. You might want to skip her hair though unless you can keep water out of it. I only wash ds' hair 3 times per week as it doesn't seem to need it more. They really don't need daily baths, imo. Usually a wiping off is fine if you need some spot cleaning. :)

I hope she feels better!

A bath is fine. If she's got a middle ear infection, bathwater won't have any effect on it, as long as her eardrum is intact. If she'd perforated her eardrum, she'd be in severe pain.

Swimmer's ear is the one where you're supposed to keep water out of the ear canals.

My friends' 2yo just had a double ear infection and 1 ear drum perforated- he barely even complained about it. Watch for discharge as well as pain.

If she ain't stinky, I'd say skip it. But as a rule DS doesn't get a bath every day unless he needs it, and if he does need it while he has an ear infection, he still gets bath. Just be careful not to submerge her ears.
