We just got a new kitchen table w/ a "Rich Alder Lacquer Finish." There are food/water(?) stains where DS sits. The rest of the table is fine.

I clean it several times a day with Method All Purpose cleaner which is good for wood but it has not removed the stains.

I just tried Murphey oil Soap and that didn't work.

I read online that I could try vinegar or mineral spirits/oil. Does anyone know if this would work? Any other suggestions? I don't want to ruin my table!!!
Also, what do you use to clean your wood table?
Thanks!!!

What kind of stains are they?

Did you try calling the store you purchased it from?

With my son it is most likely mac n cheese or applesauce.

I bought it at Costco so I don't think they can help.....

I know this sounds weird but I've heard that watermarks can be removed with mayonnaise. You just buff it in.

Here's one site, but if you Google "water spots" and "mayonnaise" you'll find more.
