I am making pulled pork for my SIL's baby shower today. I've cooked it in the slow cooker overnight for 10 hours. Before I put it in, I poked holes in the pork shoulder chunks and stuffed garlic cloves in the holes. Instead of water, I used a can of broth and a bottle of lager. Needless to say, the whole house smells delicious. When I pulled the pork out of the pot to shred it, the scent intensified. My poor husband has taken to walking around the house saying, "Man, that smells incredible!!! You're going to leave me some before you take it to Jenn's shower, right???" This has been going on for an hour and a half. And it's only 8:30am.
Does this mean I don't cook enough??? I have been so busy lately that cooking has gone by the wayside. My poor sweetie is like a moth at a flame with this pulled pork. He's already checked the fridge for barbeque sauce... twice.
