haven't seen a single movie that's nominated but i think it's high time leo won one. he's one the best actors out there and i think he doesn't get the credit he deserves because he's so damn fine.

I watched the BAFTA's (last night, recorded from, oh, a long time ago) and my favorite moment of the show was the best picture announcement:

Sir Ian McKellan: "And the Award goes to [pause] The Queen!"

So, she's got a crown, a couple of castles, and now she's even got a best picture award -- some gals get all the luck.

I don't really care who wins this year, Little Miss Sunshine is the only nominated film I've seen yet. I'd like to see The Queen win for best picture if only to hear the presenter declare that Elizabeth Windsor has won an Oscar.

Other than that, I'd love to see Peter O'Toole win best actor (if Leo is overdue, Peter is loooooong overdue), but I don't think he will. And I think I'll cry if Pirates doesn't win for achievement in sound editing.

Seriously though, haven't seen any movie nominated. I think I've seen a total of 3 movies that were released in 2006 (maybe)
