DD's been a stitch this week so I have quite a few.

--I gave her her dinner while I cut up ds's. I hear a very loud: "Ooooh, This is RICO(delicious)!" behind me. This from the child who has existed on the seemingly nothing for the last 2 years. She's become an insatiable hunger monster!

--I ran into Target to p/u feminine products. As I'm figuring out what to get she says rather loudly, "Are these bandaids?". I told here they're for Mommy so she then says " Bandaids for Mama?"

--Tonight at dinner dd says about DS: "He's SCUFFIN' it." She sounded like a teenage boy! I'm still LOL about it. That was a classic for our family.

--She's really into music. She has been absolutely adorable singing the Christmas album with her favorite songs on it. She also does a cute hip sway to dance to it.

Okay. I want to hear yours!

DS still isn't saying much, but he's starting to try. He mimics everything we *do* but not so much what we say. He's also a creature of habit (I'm starting to think to a fault)

- The other day I was saying "hi" to DD to try to get her to smile. Behind me I hear a little voice repeating "HI-EEE" just like I was saying it. It was the first time he actually repeated a word I said.

- DS is into brushing his teeth now. He just kind of sticks it in his mouth, though. I was showing him (and saying) "brush, brush, brush" so he took the toothbrush out of his mouth and started brushing his hair with it! Then I said, "No, like this." and I showed him with my finger how to brush the teeth, so he put the toothbrush downs and started copying what I was doing with my hand! Too funny!

- One of his new things is bringing me my towel after my shower. If he is playing out in our bedroom and hears me turn the water off, he runs full speed into the bathroom so he can hand me my towel. Nice service!

DD is learning to clap. She'll be clapping and we'll start to clap with her. She gets so excited, she'll stop clapping and hit her hands on her legs instead. Okay, that doesn't sound like much, but DS watches Little Einsteins and they pat and clap, so we think it's funny :).

If you hand DD a pacifier and she already has one in her mouth, she'll spit that one out and replace it with the new one. You can do this 3 or 4 times before she gets tired of you.

Not so cute, but a bit annoying - DS is into "hey". As in "hey, get me some milk mom." I guess this is what it'll be like in the future all the time!

DS also likes to dance. We dance all the time. He also watches Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and jumps up to do the end of the show dance. That's pretty funny to watch!

Yesterday, DS was sick and was falling asleep on the couch. His eyes were closed and his hand slowly went up in the air. His fingers moved and he signed "I love you". Then, his arm dropped and he was asleep. Made me smile. We've been working on that sign.

And the cutest - DS loves to hold DD's hand. Probably 90% of the time in the car, they're holding hands. I really need to get a photo of them both sleeping in the car and holding hands.

Not my child, but one that I watch-

I was reading Bon Apetit magazine, and there was an article about Giada DeLaurentis in it- and Olivia, who is 3, says..
"That's Giada..."
"How do you know?" I ask
"I watch her all the time, with daddy" She says.
"You do?"
"Yes, daddy thinks she's beautiful...." she says ( rolling her eyes)
and I ask her
"What does Mom think?"
and she says
"Mommy thinks she should wear a turtleneck."

I love these :)

N has been alternately a PITA and a sweetheart lately. Cabin fever is most of it, but there's been lots of change, too...

R is gnawing on everything, and the other day he latched on to MIL's neck...I was ROFL. He also loves being kissed and hugged, and he laughs hysterically if you kiss and hug him over and over. He's so happy, always smiling and laughing.

N's quite the character. I've watched a few too many dance shows on TV, I think, and every time good music comes on, he goes spinning through the living room. It's a sight to see. His favorite tune? The Pepto Bismol commercial with the Japanese movie monsters. Nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, diahrhea! He sings along every time.

The other night, N was in bed with us, and DH was already fast asleep. We were having a quiet discussion about the day, and I told him I loved being his Mummy. His response? "I yuv being your yiddo boy." I about melted.

Excuse me while i spew soda ROFLMAO. Sooo funny especially since this mommy feels the same way.

DS has started waving bye bye but my favorite was a couple nights ago when a friend stopped by for a visit and was leaving she held mike in her arms and he reached out, hugged her, and patted her on the back. I just loved it.
DD today was loving building assorted items and then smashing them. "look mommy,I smushed the puppy!"

Abigail is learning to jump (outside of the crib) and we just gave Evelyn the jumperoo.
So Abigail stands in front of it and they look at each other and jump and jump all the while laughing like maniacs, which makes me laugh. Each of them thinks the other is about the greatest thing in the world.
I must get it on video, it's just too sweet and funny.

Well I have some exciting news!

Tyler took 7 steps before falling on Saturday night and has been walking back and forth between his toys (about 5 steps each way) ever since.

He also has this great little laugh and loves to hear himself echo in the halls. He says 'Mama' all the time now and 'go,go' 'da,da'. He likes to do the 'monkey see monkey do game'. Sticking his tongue out, waving, etc. such a cutie pie! (if i do say so myself).

He loves to play with these wooden LARGE beads and talk to himself in mirrors.

He loves eating more big ppl food like Risotto and pasta.

I cant believe he's almost a year old already!

(Oh and he still only has 2 teeth).

Maddy is so clear when she speaks it is so funny. I took J out of the bathtub last night and dried him off. All the sudden DD starts crying I run in and she says "I'm crying!" I ask her why? No response, just more crying. I walk out to finish drying DS off and she says from the tub "I an still crying!".

Everytime DS makes so much as a peep she reports "Baby Jarred is crying!"

She also loves to dance and loves MM clubhouse Hot Dog song and her "Barbie the Princess" (Barbie and the 12 dancing princesses) and requires that I dance with her.

She is making strides in potty learning, I am so excited to only be changing one diaperd butt while we are home.

J will stand without support for a few minutes before he realizes he isn't holding onto to anything. The other day he grabbed both ears and was just standing there. Then he realized he wasn't holding onto anything took his hands down and started to tip, then he put both hands back onto his ears and stood straight up perfectly balanced. I expect to see some steps here soon.

He is cutting tooth #11 at the moment and refuses to eat pureed food. He's had about a tablespoon of baby cereal but give him anything you are eating and he'll chow it down. He eats more than his sister and is filling out 18 months clothing. He waves and is picking up on Sooooo big! He can sign milk and eat. We are working on "more" and others. He says Mom with amazing clarity. I can't believe he is nearly a year already, my squishy man. :)

Robert just had his first birthday party on Sat and it was a blast. He did really well, dug into his cake and all that. He's walking really well now. 3 teeth with one on the way. Everytime he sees a dog or a picture of a dog he gets really excited "do-geeeeeeee!" And yesterday he started with fish faces-so cute! He plays "so big" and finally picked up his first sign "all done". He loves to open and close doors, walk around doors, put stuff in and out. I love, love, love this age! I really didn't think I would but I do.

Olivia just turned a year. The cutest thing is when she "gets the joke". Like when I do something silly and she smiles or laughs.

Also when she learns a new sign, like she just learned birdie. It is so neat to see it "click" when they understand.

Today I drew an apple on a piece of paper and she tried to pick it up. LOL

We have been walking around the house shocking each other b/c of the dry air.

And now she likes to help with the laundry and she climbs on top of the clean basket of clothes so she can go for a ride when I take it upstairs.

It's times like these that make it worth the screaming trip through the grocery store. :-) That was yesterday BTW.

These are great stories! I have several of DS's latest funnies since I recently started writing them in a notebook. I wish I'd have done that from the beginning considering that my family blog I've been keeping from day 1 just disappeared from the 'net. Grrr. But that's for the BP, so on to the funny stuff...

Random quotes:
"Daddy have pants...and a NIPPLE!"

after drinking something, "Ahhh, good stuff!"

"Daddy get mommy coffee. I wike coffee. I wike caffieeeeeeeeene!"

"Luke goin' to uncle gymnastics" (he's in a Little Gym class and has a great uncle Jim - it was a tad confusing in the beginning)

L - "Daddy making laundry"
me - "Daddy is washing laundry"
(DH coming up the stairs)
me - "What did you say Daddy was making, Luke?"
L - "POTATOES!"

L - "Go see Mommy?"
DH - "Yes, we're going to see Mommy at work."
L - Daddy working?"
DH - "No, Daddy works during the day. Mommy works at night."
L - "Mommy works at night....wiff da moooooooooon."
DH - "Yes, with the moon."
L - "Put da moon away."

"Mommy love Luke like a police car. Make Mommy go WOO WOO WOO!"

DH and I were putting together a computer armoire a few weeks ago and were trying to keep Luke away from the sharp edges and small pieces. We kept telling him to stay off the carpet (area rug). So he thought about it for a minute and then walked on his tiptoes on the 2" section of wood floor between the couch and area rug in order to get closer without actually being on the carpet.

He's really into having DH and I pick him up for a big group hug. He calls it a treehouse hug. :)

Max LOVES being upside down. DH will be sitting on the floor, and DS will fling himself into DH's lap and flip over and arch his back. Or I'll be holding him and he'll arch his back and laugh hysterically when everything looks upside down.

He's getting really into stuffed animals these days, and will hug and hold them. He even gives kisses to the stuffed animals, though he has yet to give kisses to people.

And, I am SO PROUD of my big boy - we went for a walk around the block (maybe 1/10 mile), and he walked the entire way under his own steam. It took forever, but he plodded right along!

We like to make up "passwords" or riddles to get through the gate at the top of the stairs. I often do "What's black and white and red (read) all over?" (A newspaper.)

Yesterday, DD told me one: "What is wearing a black and blue shirt, has small breasts, and a big belly?.... MOMMY!"

Thanks, kid.

Curt turned two today. He was such a snuggle bug too!

Right now he's really into singing E-I-E-I-O but it sounds more like "E-I-E.. doggie ruff." And he runs around the house really fast when Signing Time is on, doing the "Signing Time" sign over and over. He also likes tickling his sister's feet.

Luci turned 6 months today. She is rolling around everywhere. And grabbing everything in reach. Her favorite toy is a balloon. She likes to hold on to the tip of the balloon where the string is attached and shake it back and forth really fast.

They are finally interacting with one another and it's been so fun to see them smile at one another. I remember asking for advice when I first found out I was expecting Luci and the two kids would be 18 months apart. I was freaking out and ya'll made me feel so much better. Someone told me that the best thing is seeing your two kids smile and look at one another with love. I agree! It makes my day.

I love reading everyone's updates!

DD doesn't talk yet really, but she's learning new words more rapidly. New ones include "kik" (click) when she does the buckle on her high chair and "ticka-ticka-ticka-ticka" when she tickles us or we tickle her.

She has started grabbing our hand and dragging us toward something if she wants us to see it. It's so great to see her making connections!

Avi has a vocabulary with more words than some 3 year olds that i work with. I know every child develops and grows in different ways at different ages, but he is really a smart child (and i am not biased, lol).

Every Sunday and Tuesday he has swimming lessons, and every Thursday we go out to ice cream. Last thursday we were going to ice cream and he was trying to convince me that ice cream is every thursday and sunday. I told him swimming was tuesday and sunday but he did not agree, he kept on telling me that swimming is on "tursday"(thursday).

Avi also loves talking on the phone. Often while he is in the car with his mom driving home from day care they will call me and we will have a 5-10 minute actual conversation about his day, what he is seeing in the car, which kids were at school, it is so fun to be able to do that.

Avi is growing up too fast, he is almost 2 1/2....where did the little snuggly baby go?

-Katie has decided that she doesn't want to eat recently. And she won't drink her milk unless it's in a soft spout cup, (I'm not giving in, eventually she does drink it).

-She is spouting words like crazy. Lately she likes talking about herself, "I funny", "I cute", I cool". The other day I was laying on the couch, she crawled on top of me, laid down on my stomach and said "I baby".

-She's also started yelling "the phone, the phone" when the phone rings.

-She has decided that she is going to be a cuddly baby out of nowhere. She has never been cuddly at all, but no she climbs on us and snuggles all the time.

-She loves her new crib and for the time being can't climb out of it, and we are working on the diaper removel thing. She has to have the diaper taped all the way around, be wearing a onesie, and have her pj's backwards. If we skip a step, she's naked when she gets up.

-And lastly, we found out that we are moving to Japan in June, we have to be there no later then early July and want to get there as soon as we can to get somewhat settled.

Dang! I can't believe your boy is only a month older than mine and saying so much!

DS does put together adjectives and nouns: "big truck," "yellow car," "red heart," for example. But no real sentences yet. He does say each morning when he sees me for the first time, "Hiii, Baby!"

Each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning as I'm getting him dressed, he'll chant, "Nana, Papa?" Because he spends so much time with them on the weekends, he thinks he'll be seeing them every day, and asks to go.

And JUST this morning, he parroted back, "I love you." These are those moments that make all the CARP worth it.
