I want to paint DD's room, but I am trying to figure out how long it will be before she can sleep in there again. Any idea how long it usually takes before a room airs out?

We just used the Harmony (No VOC/low odor) paint from Sherwin Williams and there was very little odor when we painted. (Only smelled slightly in the room and didn't stink up any other part of the house.) We painted rooms that weren't occupied, but when we use that paint to do DD's bedroom, I would keep her out for at least one night, maybe two. Not sure what I would have done if we would have used regular paint. HTH!

I used regular paint in my DD's room. I painted while DH took her to MIL's house. I finished several hours before they got back, had all the windows open the whole time I was painting. The smell had dissipated enough that DD slept in the room that night. The next day I had the windows open again and put out an open container of baking soda mixed with some fragrance oil and by the next afternoon, there was no paint smell.

We've used Benjamin Moore Regal Matte throughout the house and when we painted DS's room last month, it was a few days till I couldn't smell the paint anymore. Didn't matter for us because he just stayed in the nursery till the new room was ready, but the smell was noticable for a few days.
