My sisters biopsy came back good! It is something called a fibrous adinoma (sp?) non cancerous but has a 3% chance of turing into "something". She is meeting with a surgeon on friday to see if they want to watch it or remove it. I think she may have a 2nd consult w/ a plastic surgeon because of the location and possible scarring. But all is good!!!

I got a call at 6:30 am last friday morning from my sister .. you know phone calls that time of the morning are not usually good.
She had been laying on her bed the night before and found a lump in her breast and was really upset. She is a nurse ( actually a nurse manager of an ER) and was able to get in to see her primary care doc that day. She had an ultrasound Monday and they confirmed a mass about the size of a walnut. The doctor who read the u/s ( is a friend Jill) said he had never seen anything quite like it. He said it resembled a cyst in some ways but it looked like it contained many small cysts inside and was not uniformly round ( more kidney shaped)
She has a biopsy scheduled tomorrow morning. We keep repeating to each other 32yr old women who have breast fed 2 kids a year each ... dont get breast cancer right? Yea that sounds silly but its the best we can come up with.
Please keep her in your prayers
*** ETA her biopsy got bumped to Friday morning. Thanks for all the good wishes/prayers. I will keep everyone informed.
